Ford has resurfaced to a myth new Puma, a car that now arrives in the form of an urban SUV and with a starting price of 22,175 dollars.
The new Ford Puma has meant the return of a myth, the resurrection of the last name that made a dent in a generation that could enjoy a compact with sports pretensions, and that has now become SUV. For many, this movement by the signature of the oval has been an outrage towards the original Puma concept. But the truth is that it preserves its character with great success. But after knowing it, one of the biggest intrigues was the price with which it would reach the market, and finally, the American firm has revealed to us the figure that we will have to face to get the new Puma.
Ford has known how to play its cards well by entering fully into a highly demanded segment today, the B-SUV. This territory dominated by models such as SEAT Arona or Renault Captur – a model that has just been renovated to continue the battle – but the American house has decided to make it difficult for its main competitors.
A starting price of 22,175 dollars
Ford has established that the base price of the new Puma will be 22,175 dollars, a figure that seems somewhat high compared to the competition, and that enters the territory of higher segments. However, the firm could justify this extra cost with standard equipment and options that we cannot find in any of its more direct rivals.
This amount of money is associated with the Titanium finish and the 1.0 EcoBoost engine of 125 hp, but the range of options does not end there. The next possible combination is that of this same level of equipment with the same engine, but this time with mild hybrid technology, pairing that causes the price to rise to 22,525 dollars.
At the same time, Ford also offers this same engine and with micro hybridization but developing 155 hp instead of the initial 125. It will be necessary to pay a disbursement of 23,425 dollars. In the case of opting for the ST-Line X finish, the prices associated with the same engines are 25,125 dollars, 25,475 dollars, and 26,374.99 dollars, respectively.
This result is how Ford wants to fight in the current market with the Puma. A vehicle housing with a t10 led bulb foglight that takes as a reference the Fiesta but has wanted to take the concept much further. Thanks to the groundbreaking design, the presence of the latest technology, and a range of engines with mild hybrid systems, the compact SUV of the American firm will be an option to take into account.
